Hopefully this weekend we will still be experiencing some of this nice weather that we have been enjoying lately. There is a new flea market that just opened up that the wife and I would like to visit. Going to a flea market is a good way to spend a few hours. It gets us outside, out of the house, it’s good exercise and we always meet some of the nicest people there and on occasion we manage to find a nice treasure to bring home.

The wife and I have been discussing various things that we would like to do when our tax refund check shows up in the mail in the near future. We did pretty good this year, we had a lot of deductions and made good use of all of the receipts that we kept in our tax shoe box, that are such a pain in the neck to deal with. But it was well worth the extra effort it took in order the get the best bang for our buck.

We both have things that we would like to see done with the money. Most of it will be used for things concerning the house. She has her eyes on a nice hanging wine glass rack that she has found online at Glassstemwareracks.com. She is good at finding good deals on the Internet and found a site that offers all kinds of wine glass racks for sale that she was showing me last night. I’m good with that and see no reason why we can’t spend a few bucks on nice quality looking wine glass rack. She has good taste and I’m usually right on board with most things that she finds to spend our money on.

I swear that I don’t know if it is hard, or if it’s fun to be a female in this society.  So many women are so worried about their clothes.  They spend a fortune trying to keep up with new fashion trends!  With men, it is a lot easier to deal with fashion.  Yes, there are still trends, but it is not quite so worrisome to us; we are more than happy to wear the same outfit for years on end!  But so many women are so worried about what “everyone else will think” if they wear the same clothes for several years.

My wife recently bought several sets of slimming clothes that really minimized her problem areas and maximized her natural beauty.  I think that it’s great that designers are paying more attention to pleasing shoppers in that regard.  And I have to admit, I would encourage everyone to be investing money in ecological friendly clothes if they are going to buy new clothes anyway.  But if you don’t really NEED new clothes, then I would encourage people to just keep wearing what you have!

My wife has been talking about putting in a couple of new stainless steel kitchen sinks in our kitchen.  The one we have came with the house that we bought a long time ago.  It was old even then!  And the people who installed it put the hot and cold controls on backwards!  And the knobs keep falling off!  There are a lot of scratches and rust stains.  I have to agree, it is way past time to get it.  Maybe with our tax refund check we’ll be able to replace it!  And I’d like to put in a small bar sink in the kitchen island as well.  It would be really handy to have one there!

Bob called me up last night and told me that his father just passed away.  He’s known for a long time that he has been ill, and the day has been coming.  So he’s going to be moving to Lexington to be near his mother.  She’s getting up in years and he wants to be closer to her.  So he’s contacted Chapin Real Estate to help him find a place to live.  He doesn’t want to move in with his mother; he knows that the grandchildren would just be too much for her.  So he’ll be looking for a good price on Chapin Homes to see if he can accommodate his growing family along with the budget restrictions!
