One of the things that I really like about the Internet is how easy it is to compare products and services, without having to leave the house. I was just remembering some very old television commercials about using the telephone book’s Yellow Pages where the jingle was “Let your fingers do the walking….” Now with the Internet, the fingers can still do the walking, but without even having to make a phone call!
For example, if I go to negquote.com I can compare different New Mexico insurance companies, policies, and rates between a lot of different companies! All I have to do is fill out a short form and click on submit. Then just sit and wait for the information to come in! How easy is that!?
Come the end of April I will have the pleasure of ending my 2 year contract with AT&T, who is my current cell phone provider. I’ve been doing a bit of research online to find the best provider to hook up with when the time comes. There are sites out there that allow you to compare plans and companies, which is pretty cool. Anything to make the task at hand an easier one.
With Mother’s Day coming up in another month, I’ve been looking around for gift idea for my dear mother. She can be a challenge to buy for, but I think that I’ve stumbled across something this year at Bluedail.com. They have a great selection of some nice affordable Seiko Automatic Watches there and I like that they offer free 2nd day shipping and that they accept PayPal for payment. That is always a plus with me and more online businesses really need to start considering accepting Pay Pal.
Anyway, I really like the look of this particular watch. My mother is a tiny little thing and can’t wear anything big and bulky. And since pink is her favorite color I think she will love it. I can only try!
Hopefully this weekend we will still be experiencing some of this nice weather that we have been enjoying lately. There is a new flea market that just opened up that the wife and I would like to visit. Going to a flea market is a good way to spend a few hours. It gets us outside, out of the house, it’s good exercise and we always meet some of the nicest people there and on occasion we manage to find a nice treasure to bring home.
The wife and I have been discussing various things that we would like to do when our tax refund check shows up in the mail in the near future. We did pretty good this year, we had a lot of deductions and made good use of all of the receipts that we kept in our tax shoe box, that are such a pain in the neck to deal with. But it was well worth the extra effort it took in order the get the best bang for our buck.
We both have things that we would like to see done with the money. Most of it will be used for things concerning the house. She has her eyes on a nice hanging wine glass rack that she has found online at Glassstemwareracks.com. She is good at finding good deals on the Internet and found a site that offers all kinds of wine glass racks for sale that she was showing me last night. I’m good with that and see no reason why we can’t spend a few bucks on nice quality looking wine glass rack. She has good taste and I’m usually right on board with most things that she finds to spend our money on.
