One of the more discouraging and distressing things about living in this part of the state is that we hear about camp break-ins frequently. Most of the time, the break-ins involve a jimmied door or broken window. After the thieves gain access the thieves usually eats whatever food they can find and steal whatever they can carry. Usually these activities happen during the winter. So it was with quite a bit of surprise that I read that in the local paper that there were several camp vandalisms last week in a nearby town, where the camps were broken into and trashed. Two men have been arrested for the deed, which I was glad to read; usually these types of crimes are never solved.
